The question of whether it is safe to travel from Amman to Jerusalem hinges less on the terminal itself and more on the broader regional context. The West Bank, where the crossing is located, has seen periodic unrest in certain areas—particularly in parts of Hebron and the northern governorates. The Allenby terminal zone and the highway corridor to Jerusalem have historically been insulated from these incidents. Israeli security forces maintain a visible presence along Route 1, the main artery connecting the bridge to the city. Travelers are subject to additional vehicle checks at junctions, especially when alert levels rise. That said, geopolitical volatility can shift quickly.
